Before undergoing the HALO operation, it was very difficult to partake in all activities, including the simple things in life, such as hill walking. The procedure provided a quick and easy solution to a condition, which caused years of pain and sometimes embarrassment, which I had suffered with since the age of 15. I only wish that the HALO procedure existed sooner, as it puts your life back on track almost immediately after the operation.
There was a slight discomfort after the operation however this was far outweighed by the knowledge of the long term benefits I would gain after a full recovery. One week after the operation, I flew to New Jersey, USA, without problems and carried on with my life confidently and without restrictions.
This procedure has improved my life dramatically and I strongly recommend HALO to anybody who is held back by this unfortunate condition.

I am writing to express my thanks to you for performing a Stapled Haemorrhoidopexy a few weeks ago and to tell you how delighted I am with the results.
Having suffered a severe case of external thrombosed haemorrhoids I was in agony and was desperate to find some kind of help. I really did not want to have to endure the old style of haemorrhoidectomy operation because I had heard how painful it was post-op and the recovery time is so slow. Having searched the internet I discovered The British Haemorrhoid Centre in London, who recommended a new type of surgery and I subsequently contacted you to discuss it.
The stapled procedure was performed and I was amazed at how quickly I recovered and although I took a week off work, I actually felt fine very soon after the operation. The only discomfort I experienced (apart from immediately post-op as I woke up which soon went) was the first bowl movement but after that everything was so much better. I now actually feel “safe” when I go to the toilet and confident that I wont suffer any further problems.
Thank you so much for your very kind and practical approach to a rather embarrassing problem. I have already recommended you to friends and family and am only too happy to endorse the operation on the web site. I am so pleased that my research worked and that I found you!

I would like to take this opportunity to say how thankful I am to have received the HALO operation. Prior to this my condition caused constant discomfort and had an adverse impact on my daily life, as well as restricting my ability to participate in more outdoor and adventurous activities in which I would like to have engaged.
I would thoroughly recommend that anyone suffering from the same condition should immediately go and get booked in for a HALO. The procedure was quick, effectively painless and had no significant residual pain or problems. I felt up to going jogging just 2 days afterwards. In my opinion the operation has been a complete success on all accounts.

I am writing to thank you, not only for so ably performing the operation recently on my hemorrhoids which really surprised me with the quick recovery time. Within 24 hours of the operation I was feeling quite comfortable and was back at work one week later. I would have gone back to work earlier if the weekend had not intervened.
As this was the major operation of its type, not bandings and came soon after two operations on an abscess on my bottom, it was with some trepidation that I agreed to do the operation., Your assurance that the new equipment and HALO would be very much more straightforward, was welcome, but I did not believe that the whole procedure would be so pain free and successful.
I would be happy to recommend this operation and the HALO method and equipment to anyone. It has certainly been successful, with rapid recovery time and a minimum discomfort during that period.

I underwent the HALO operation, performed by Mr. D M Gold, using a new technique of stitching the supplying blood vessels known as HALO and wish to make the following observations.
I went into surgery at approximately 12.15pm and remember coming round from the anesthetic about an hour later and noticed some discomfort, though not excruciating.
I returned to my room (on a trolley) and felt well enough by 3pm to have a light lunch of sandwiches and tea. By 4pm I was comfortable enough to walk downstairs to be taken home by car.
I was prescribed one anti inflammatory pill per day for three days (which I took) and paracetamol to be used when necessary.
My first bowl movement, the following day was painful, but subsequently less and less unpleasant, to the extent that by day ten I did not notice any pain.
I felt able to go back to work the day after the operation, but was unable to do so because of not being allowed to drive within 48 hours of the anesthetic. A post operative consultation showed the hemorrhoids to have disappeared and I now feel no discomfort whatsoever.

I write to express my thanks for the procedure completed by you at the Hampshire Clinic. I required a haemorrhoidectomy and on your advice a “stapled” procedure was chosen. I wish to express my satisfaction with the nature of my recovery. Within a day or two I was walking without discomfort and within a week I had returned to work. The hemorrhoids have completely disappeared and I now experience none of the associated discomfort I was in prior to the operation.
From my understanding. The alternative procedure(s) require considerably greater recovery periods and involve more unpleasant surgical wounds. I am pleased to say that I have suffered no ill-effects from this procedure and have experienced a complete recovery from the condition.
